Work Day At Phoenix Flea Market

Just as Ron and I are thinking of making changes with Junkblossoms, we’re making decisions about changes at the flea market.  Right now we have two large booths, two smaller booths and a book booth.  My daughter has a booth across from our books and has decided to give it up.  We’re going to expand the books to her booth when she moves out.  I’m thinking we’ll give up one of the smaller booths, maybe both of the smaller booths.  It’s a big decision.
We had a good week last week at the flea market.  There were lots of empty spaces to fill.  We had to do one of those Beverly Hillbilly trips, stacking the back end of the truck with junk for the booth and filling the backseat of the cab to overflow.  Well, maybe it wasn’t junk, let me show you.
We took in a lot of furniture.  I think this chest of drawers is from the forties.  We lucked out and also got the matching bed.  We took the bedroom set and two night stands in today too.
We set the bed up.  It has a headboard and a foot board.  There is another woe-is-me story about setting up the bed.  I won’t go into it.  Suffice it to say you should NEVER try to set up a bed by yourself around shelves full of breakables.  Always wait for help.
We’ve found a lot of dressing tables and old desks lately.  Some of them are just so pretty.
This mantle is my favorite of everything we took in.  Isn’t it gorgeous?
The rest are some of the smaller things we found the past two weekends junking.  This mid century box is so sweet.  I can’t decide if it was for jewelry or silverware.  I just love the drawers.  I love boxes and drawers so this is a perfect combination.
This art glass dish is heavy.
We have something for the kids, too.
Some little girl will love this antique doll bed.
It took most of the day to load up and unload.  There was polishing the furniture and pricing it, to say nothing about cleaning up messes.  All you can do is smile on days like these.  Oh, and go to bed early.
I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day.  Be sure to thank our servicemen and women for all they do when you see them.  My prayer is that soon they will all be safely home with their families.
I am linking up with these parties this week:
